Predominately a home photo printer the Canon PIXMA iP6210D
offers loads of features to help you on your way with home photo printing.
This printer gives you the option of installing 2 tri colour cartridges, one
with standard yellow, cyan and magenta inks and one for a special photo
cartridge with enhanced yellow, cyan and magenta inks. Price wise this
printer is a good buy not an expensive printer at all for what you get. A
slight downside however would be the slightly higher running costs of this
printer. The lack of a single ink system means you will have to replace the
full tri colour cartridge as soon as a single colour runs out. Still fine if
you print a few photo's now and then and also use your printer for graphics
and text. If you use your printer to print nearly every photo you ever take
to make hard copy albums though I would recommend looking for a printer with
a single ink system in order to keep the running costs down a bit more.
Like all the good photo printers today the Canon PIXMA
iP6210D offers direct photo printing with no need for a PC via PictBridge.
Giving you access to your photos quickly and easily. You can still of course
print pictures that are stored on your PC and the iP6210D connects to your
PC via a high speed USB cable. Please be aware that most printer
manufacturers do not include a USB cable in the printer package so make sure
you add one to your basket when buying a printer. Also the iP6210D can print
photos directly from a camera phone when used with the optional Bluetooth
adapter. And that's not all direct photo printing can also be achieved from
compatible memory cards.
When using official canon Chromalife 100 inks and photo
paper, your prints will not only be printed at the highest standard but will
also be able to last for up to 100 years in the right conditions without

approximately 1 minute when using standard mode, so no need to go off and
make a cup of tea when waiting for your prints to come through.
The Canon PIXMA iP6210D comes in a sleek fold away design
to save on desk space. Because of Canons FINE print technology the print
heads do not take up much space and smaller printers can be made. The paper
tray and feeder can be easily folded away when not in use to create even
more space and allow you to store the printer in places some others simply
would not fit.
