Epson's new
range of multifunction printers is the DX set of printers. At the budget
end of the range we have the DX3800. Currently set at under £70 and time
of print, you get a printer with scanning and photocopying capabilities
for a great price. Being at the budget end of the market the DX3800 does
look like a basic machine with not a lot of buttons and setting to play
with, but you do still get a good quality of print. And if good
printing, scanning and copying is what you are after the DX3800 will
still provide the results you require.
I would
recommend the Dx3800 as a home use printer for the casual user because
although when you go to the higher quality setting the DX3800 produces
good results, it is quite a slow printer when compared with some of the
more expensive options on the market today. That having been said, if
your only printing a few things a day or less then money saved by
purchasing the DX3800 could well be worth it. The Epson DX3800 uses a
single ink system, although this is common place now its still good to
see this ink and money saving feature placed in the budget printers.
